Veteran Voices – Episode-14

“I want kids to know about him. I want kids to know about all of my heroes, but one of the reasons why I was organizing the Pat Tillman Run here was to have not just kids, but kids predominantly, because I want that story to go on forever. To know what people do, what sacrifices people make. I don’t say every day, or on a regular basis but hopefully, more people will know about him, because he is such a great American and great human being. It’s worth knowing that he should be in our history books, in my opinion, and just revered for what he did for my kids. My kids weren’t born yet, but he sacrificed for my kids, even though he didn’t even know them.” -Seth Deitchman, speaking about Pat Tillman, and his reasons behind establishing the Pat Tillman Run in Metro Atlanta In this episode of the newly re-launched Veteran Voices series, Scott welcomes veteran advocate Seth Deitchman to the podcast.

Veteran Voices – Episode-15

“So the military told us what we were going to do. They told us how we were gonna do it, and they told us when were we going to do it. So you had this command and control. Well, you know, as a military member, you get out, you’re a veteran, you exit the military. There’s no longer that command control because it’s just you. And so many veterans get out and, and they’re so disconnected from a bigger sense of mission. And what I try to tell them is, look, the mission is now you and your family, your spouse, that’s your mission.” In this episode of the newly re-launched Veteran Voices series, Scott welcomes USAF veteran Don Long to the podcast.

Veteran Voices – Episode-16

“My professor says, ‘you have to do a capstone in two years and you have to build a business.’ I’m like, I didn’t go get my MBA to build a business. I want to learn about business, and working for somebody in a business, but it’s what we had to do. So I was like, what am I going to pick for a business? I thought, you know what, I’m going to build a library of Atlantis for veterans, military spouses, and dependent children. I’m like, why wait two years? I’ll just do it now.”   -Brian Arrington with VETS2INDUSTRY In this episode of the newly re-launched Veteran Voices series, Scott welcomes VETS2INDUSTRY founder, Brian Arrington to the podcast.

Veteran Voices – Episode-30

“My dad, I always talk about him, he always said, be careful who you spend time with on the weekends and the people who you hang out with, who emulate excellence, who have high standards to hold you accountable, who give you feedback and love and advice and encouragement and lift you. Those are the type of people that you need to be hanging out with. And any soldier who’s listening, who is a veteran, you know, those men and women who you work with in the military, they had your back for the most part, you had theirs. So you got to seek out those folks in the civilian sector.” -Waldo Waldman   In this episode, host Scott W. Luton interviews Lt. Col. Waldo Waldman, a combat-decorated fighter pilot for the United States Air Force, author of the New York Times bestseller “Never Fly Solo”, and a Hall of Fame keynote speaker & leadership coach. Kennedy International Airport. That moment fuels Waldo‘s passion for flying – – and leads to…

Veteran Voices – Episode-17

“If you’re not going to show up every day with the uniform on ready to push the button or fight with a gun, you’re not going to make it in the civilian world. So whatever it is that you’re going to do, you have to show up, you have to throw that thing, put a smile on your face, or just be professional. And you have to take the orders. Cause no matter what, there’s always somebody that’s going to be giving you orders. Even if you own your own company.” -Vince Wainwright, Founder of Scale Executive Search & Scale Search Group   In this episode of the newly re-launched Veteran Voices series, Scott welcomes Scale Executive Search Founder, Vince Wainwright, to the podcast.

Veteran Voices – Episode-19

“It’s very interesting because the Native American community for their veterans, they have that community that they helped them kind of adjust war. And I think the problem is that a lot of vets who get out who are on a few front lines, they don’t have that, you know, we should have some type of transition and that’s why I have a program like military outdoors.” -Lornett Vestal, Sierra Club Military Outdoors Campaign Representative     In this episode of the newly re-launched Veteran Voices series, Scott welcomes Lornett Vestal to the podcast.
