“The field used to be dominated by males. At USF, 55% of our supply chain students are female. 100% of our students get internships. Even better, once they get jobs, the average number of promotions is 2-3 within the three years of being hired by the company. Starting salaries average $55,000 plus bonuses which can get you to $65,000 or $70,000.”

-Dr. Jim Stock

Tango Tango Classic: From Delta Force to Mr. Mustavio World of Wonder

In this powerful classic episode of the Tango Tango podcast, sponsored by CareSource Military & Veterans, host Lloyd Knight sits down with Pat McNamara, a retired Delta Force operator, small business owner, creator of Basic Dude Stuff, and the ultimate champion of resilience. Mac opens up about his journey from elite military operations to navigating darkness after service, revealing the deeply personal story behind his second lease on life. Listeners get a raw look at the highs and lows of Pat’s career, from failing Special Forces training to becoming one of the top performers in Delta. But the most gripping moments come after the battlefield, when he’s living in a bonus room above his garage, caring for his kids, and battling depression and burnout. It was a moment with his son and a screech owl that sparked the turnaround, and a single run that helped him remember who he was. This isn’t just a story about combat. It’s a story of fatherhood, recovery, discipline, and the choice to grow. From surviving a towed parachute jump to creating a children’s show rooted in curiosity and wonder, Pat’s journey is a lesson in how warriors heal, rebuild, and give back. Additional Links…

Not just speed for speed’s sake, but smarter, faster, more confident decision-making in a world shaped by tariff volatility, regulatory shifts, and rapidly advancing AI. With insights from industry veterans Paul Noble and Nick Dippolito, we unpack what it really takes to lead through uncertainty. Grab your coffee and settle in – welcome to The Buzz, powered by EasyPost! As trade policies continue to shift, including recent tariff developments and Supreme Court rulings impacting international commerce, supply chain leaders are facing mounting pressure to respond quickly without sacrificing accuracy. This episode explores the rising importance of “decision velocity” and why organizations must modernize their data, governance, and verification processes to compete effectively. A major focal point of the conversation is ISO 25500 and its role in strengthening data verification and reliability across supply chain networks. We also explore the double-edged sword of artificial intelligence: while AI unlocks powerful operational efficiencies, it also introduces new risks, including impersonation fraud and malicious activity. The takeaway? Standards, smarter systems, and stronger supplier verification are no longer optional, they’re foundational. Tune in and learn: Why…
