Every entrepreneur needs a ‘why,’ and Shane Buerster found his ‘why’ on a coffee plantation while watching a young boy – just 8 or 9 years old – swing a machete to clear overgrowth near the edge of a field. Rather than playing baseball, or going to school, or spending time with his friends, that little boy was helping his family put food on the table.
