WEBINAR: Setting the Standard for Supply Chain Security

The world is becoming more software-driven and while it’s helping accelerate innovation, it’s also increasing risk. Service providers, equipment manufacturers and the various suppliers in the information communications technology (ICT) industry are seeing a sharp rise in breaches and attacks through the infiltration of downstream suppliers of software as well as hardware, and professional services. However, a new process-based standard, SCS 9001, is in development by the members of TIA with the goal of helping businesses lock these attackers out. Due for release later in 2021, this new process-based standard is poised help companies and better protect their internal operations and identify verified trusted suppliers (and their suppliers’ suppliers) for network solutions. By certifying their internal operations and verifying trusted suppliers and products and services, life will soon be much harder and success far more expensive for the suspected nation-states and crime syndicates behind these devastating attacks. In addition, the standard will include a collection of security performance measurements for aggregation of anonymous benchmark results to help drive continual industry improvement.

Join us as we discuss why this new industry standard is especially critical for new 5G and IoT networks that are aiming to connect everything from our coffee makers to our cars.

Speakers:
Ken Koffman, TIA
Dave Sanicola, The DESARA Group
Jim McConnell, Verizon
Carlos Solari, SecureG

How Ferguson’s Metrics-Driven Strategy Drove an 18% Improvement in Operational Efficiency

Labor management is a good start to understanding operational performance, but productivity metrics alone are inadequate to drive efficiencies and business results at scale. Learn how Ferguson has superpowered their labor management practices with Operations Financial Management (OpsFM). Their sophisticated approach to data helps them quickly discern the root causes of performance lags – such as labor performance, processes, or a change in workflow. And by managing to both performance and cost metrics, they are able to bridge the understanding between operations and finance. Join Supply Chain Now hosts, Scott Luton and Tandreia Bellamy, along with Blake Engel of Ferguson and Dan Keto of Easy Metrics, as they show you how to bridge that gap. Learn how Ferguson manages their business by the numbers and drives operational efficiencies at scale. In this webinar you will learn: How to factor difficulty of work content and adjust labor to account for it How to identify the causes of waste and take action for efficiency gains The data sources you need to merge and unify to get visibility at this level How to approach metrics to understand process performance What are the key KPIs, from GM to employee, and how to cascade them

5 Reasons Network Design Is Essential to Supply Chain Resiliency

Do you have the ability to model the cost, service, and risk implications of potential supply chain decisions? Here’s how better supply chain network design benefits your business and customers—and how to get started today. If your organization has a physical supply chain, supply chain network design is a critical capability to create digital models of your current and future supply chain to test the impact and performance of multiple alternatives—before you invest a dime. Join C.H. Robinson and Optilogic in a practical discussion on how leading companies are taking a balanced approach to optimizing across multiple criteria such as cost, service, risk, and carbon emissions when developing supply chain strategy.
