WEBINAR: Setting the Standard for Supply Chain Security

The world is becoming more software-driven and while it’s helping accelerate innovation, it’s also increasing risk. Service providers, equipment manufacturers and the various suppliers in the information communications technology (ICT) industry are seeing a sharp rise in breaches and attacks through the infiltration of downstream suppliers of software as well as hardware, and professional services. However, a new process-based standard, SCS 9001, is in development by the members of TIA with the goal of helping businesses lock these attackers out. Due for release later in 2021, this new process-based standard is poised help companies and better protect their internal operations and identify verified trusted suppliers (and their suppliers’ suppliers) for network solutions. By certifying their internal operations and verifying trusted suppliers and products and services, life will soon be much harder and success far more expensive for the suspected nation-states and crime syndicates behind these devastating attacks. In addition, the standard will include a collection of security performance measurements for aggregation of anonymous benchmark results to help drive continual industry improvement.

Join us as we discuss why this new industry standard is especially critical for new 5G and IoT networks that are aiming to connect everything from our coffee makers to our cars.

How Bio-Rad is Reimagining its Supply Chain to Boost Customer Service

Bio-Rad is a global leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative products for the life science research and clinical diagnostic markets. Join Supply Chain Now’s Scott Luton & Greg White to hear how Bio-Rad has embarked upon a journey to total supply chain transformation; improving forecast accuracy and speed of supply planning, inventory management, end to end visibility, and ultimately improving service to their customers for Finished Goods. Learn how working collaboratively with Kinaxis and IBM, Bio-Rad positively redefined and stabilized core supply chain processes, implementing Kinaxis’ Rapid Response solution. Understand how Bio-Rad adopted a phased approach, beginning as a foundation with demand planning, followed by supply planning, and reporting & analytics. Once this foundation is in place then embarking on a journey to establish robust S&OP and S&OE processes, extending functionality vertically & horizontally, and modelling & optimizing inventory. The overarching goal of this transformation is to deliver improved customer service and responsiveness, whilst simultaneously providing network visibility, driving optimal use of manufacturing assets, and improving cashflow.

Tackling Manufacturing’s Billion-Dollar Parts Problem with AI

Organizations face constant challenges in optimizing their MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) data. With vast amounts of capital invested across assets and sites, managing the risk of downtime becomes a crucial, yet often a neglected task. Optimization becomes impossible when trying to make sense of MRO/spare parts data, tangled in a web of fragmented teams, processes, and technology. And attempting to solve these problems with traditional approaches like data cleanses only results in sub-optimized inventory, temporarily clean data, and reactive maintenance strategies – which are not only costly but also a huge headache for procurement and operations teams. Join us as we explore how AI technologies remove data prerequisites, streamline MRO inventory data management, and unlock significant value for your end-to-end MRO inventory and material supply chain, with your data as is. In this session, we’ll discuss how to: Leverage data-driven insights by enhancing outdated processes and systems with purpose-built AI technologies Find million dollars savings hiding in your MRO, while also improving demand forecasting, streamlining tail spend, and enhancing criticality assessments Improve cross-department collaboration between maintenance, operations, and procurement teams to ensure a unified MRO management approach Boost operational efficiency to optimize criticality assessments, inventory management, minimize downtime, and…
